HBD KURO FANZINE
FanZine Project, 2024

About
“HBD Kuro FanZine, 2024” is a fan project about a VTuber, K9Kuro on Twitch and Twitter. This project is a gift filled with many art compilations and written messages from fellow fans compiled all in one FanZine.

Role
As one of the staff involved in this project, I worked with fellow friends and artists for the design and was in charge of the Zine layout, cover art (in collaboration with MikiKitsune, a fellow staff member), background art and designing the “Contributors” assets.
Process
The staff and I knew we wanted to keep the main colour scheme red and black as it’s the main colour palette of K9Kuro’s design. I’ve also researched many custom fonts for the Zine and did quick mockups to show the staff and we collectivelly agreed to use the font “The Macabre” as the main font and “Quicksand BOLD” as the secondary font.

The process of the zine went smoothly as I had staff that were able to quickly review and proof read the zine, catching mistakes I’ve missed.
